Severe Weather Procedures
Severe Weather Procedures
Below is a reminder of the school’s severe weather procedures. Although it is our aim as a school to remain open unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If as a school we are forced to either open or close at different times or close completely due to severe weather conditions we will:
- send a text message to all parents that have provided mobile phone numbers
- Inform local radio stations – Heart FM 97.1 or 96.4 or Radio Suffolk 95.5, 95.9, 103.9 or 104.6 FM – who will provide regular up dates
- Parents can also check for information using the following web address - http://schoolclosures.suffolk.gov.uk
Please can I ask parents to ensure that as a school we have correct details for mobile phone numbers, home telephone numbers and email addresses – if there have been any recent changes please let us know.
If we are opening when we have snowy conditions please could we ask that parents send children in to school with wellies and waterproof, warm coats as we often try to go onto the field to enjoy the snow.
Thank you for your support.
