Water

Within Geography, we will be learning about the water cycle and rivers.

In Science, we will continue to learn about forces and start our new topic properties and changes of materials.

In RE, we will Hinduism

What spiritual pathways to Moksha are written about in Hindu scriptures?

And Christianity

Why do Christians think being a pilgrim is a good anology for life itself?

 

 

English

 

This term in English;

We will will be reading Kensukes Kingdom and using this as a basis to write a narrative and a balanced arguments.

We will also be writing some river poetry and about the journey of a raindrop.

We will do weekly comprehension exercises and 3X a week be tested on our whole school spelling scheme.

In accordance to the New Curriculum we will be working weekly to improve our spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Whole school Grammar Terms

Homework

Please read independently for 20 minutes a day and to an adult 3x a week. Please record reading in your diary and  ask an adult to sign it.

Maths/Topic/English homework will be handed out on Friday and handed in on Monday.

 

Extra class spellings will be tested and sent home on a Tuesday. An extra activity may be given based on our spellings.

 

The children also need to practice a mixture of tables and related division facts  to achieve a personal best time.

 

 

 

Maths

This term in Maths;

In number, we will learn about multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages.

 

The children will further develop their reasoning skills by applying topics taught through the term to solve problems.
