Things we need to remember
PE kits needed every Tuesday and Thursday.
Suitable outdoor kit(including trainers) is needed.
Trumpet needed every Monday.
Spelling and reading books needed daily.
Within Geography, we will be studying rivers.
In Science, we will learn about properties and the changes of materials and animals including humans.
In RE, we will be learning about The Gospel and answering the question...
Why is the bible such good news to Christians?
Following this, we will learn about Pilgrims..
Why do Christians think being a Pilgrim is a good analogy for life itsef ?
This term in English;
We will be writing to discuss through balanced arguments, persuade with letters and entertain through poetry.
The children will do weekly comprehension exercises and 3X a week be tested on our whole school spelling scheme.
In accordance to the New Curriculum we will be working weekly to improve our spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Please read independently for 20 minutes a day and to an adult 3x a week. Please record reading in your diary and ask an adult to sign it.
Topic/English homework is given on Tuesday and handed in the following Monday.
Extra class spellings will be tested and sent home on a Tuesday. Or an activity will be given based on our spellings.
Maths homework is given on Friday and handed in the following Wednesday.
The children also need to practise a mixture of tables and related division facts to achieve a personal best time.
This term in Maths;
In number, we will spend time on multiplication and division, fractions, decimals and percentages.
In measure, we will learn about Perimeter and Area.
The children will further develop their reasoning skills by applying topics taught through the term to solve problems.
