Welcome to our website

This is what the inspector had to say:
“This is a good school.”

"The distinctiveness and effectiveness of Stonham Aspal as a Church of England school are good”
“The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding  at meeting the needs of all learners”

Stonham Aspal Primary is proud to be a Church of England Voluntary Aided  school serving the villages of Stonham Aspal, Coddenham, Coddenham Green, Earl Stonham, Little Stonham, Pettaugh and welcoming many children from outside the area.

As well as aiming to obtain the academic best from each child, we focus strongly at Stonham Aspal on helping to nurture a rounded individual who will be confident, when they leave the school, to tackle the next stage in their lives.

The school was founded in 1845 and has been expanding ever since. We currently have seven classrooms including our latest project, a purpose built, foundation stage area, completed in 2012. This extension has given us room for a self-contained ICT suite and small group teaching rooms benefitting all pupils in the school.
Outside, we have a large playing field including a well-used football pitch, a large climbing frame funded by our PTA, a garden with greenhouse and a conservation area with pond.

We are a feeder school for Debenham High School.
